Services

At the base of the mountain or Villa Catedral you will find anything you might need to make your day just perfect. There are 2 mayor shopping areas, Amancay & Las Terrazas, with european style restaurants and international cuisine to food courts. There is a bank, ATM and more than 50 stores that range from pharmacies and rental equipment shops to Night Clubs and a casino. There are three 5 stars hotels at the base but you can also find more accesible ones as well as rental cabins.

For the little ones you will find day cares and other activities like snowshoes and sledges (El Establo, 02944-409000 int. 186) snowcat tours, fourtrax (tourstravesias@arcticcat-argentina.com.ar), or snowbikes (snowbike@bariloche.com.ar)

Ski Schools

There are several ski and snowboard schools that offer all kind of clases for beginners to advance as well as for the little one. Most of them have instructors that speak english, portuguese or french. Some of them are listed below:

How To Get There

Form Buenos Aires to Bariloche there are 1,621 km or 1,013 miles so the best way is to fly, it takes around 2 hours. The other option is taking a bus. There are several companies that offer this service and you can find good deals in very comfotable "bed bus" or coche cama services. Most of them includes snacks and dinner on board. It will take up to 24 hours but it is a more economic option

Punta Nevada and Nubes, the main resort area

Catedral is located 19 kilometers from the town of San Carlos de Bariloche in the province of Rio Negro. It is probably the most renowned argentine resort. With its variety of lifts and services it makes up for the most developed winter resort in the Southern Hemisphere. Catedral is well known for its vast terrain, backcountry bowls and epic tree runs and of course it is set in one of the most breathtaking sceneries of the world; with ancient forests and lakes like Nahuel Huapi surrounding it. The resort and Bariloche, made up of more than 100 thousand people, will give you a true taste of what Argentina's winter is about.
